Zaaap Garage Door Repair is awesome!!! My garage door wasn't staying flat when opened, and wouldn't close smoothly anymore. Shawn is a genuine expert who instantly diagnosed the problem and fixed it in a few minutes. If you're wondering about the price, it was about the same as I would have paid for parts only from Amazon.

I know I know you have a broken garage. You’re not sure what to do so what you need to do is get a hold of Zack garage door repair. The owner himself came out and service. Our door about five years ago. A totally new issue came up and he came out and he gave me an extra fair deal within 10 minutes of calling him got my garage door that had broken fixed the springs by replacing them and then had a part inside the motor of the garage door opener, coupler and replaced it as well saved me a ton of money and did it all in less than an hour. My door is now quiet, responsive and works great. I couldn’t have been happier with the work that I got done.

Had a broken spring and the garage door started to bow and crack. Shawn arrived exactly when he said he would. He added additional supports, weighed the door so he would know exactly what springs were needed, replaced the springs and now the door works better than when it was brand new. I will definitely use his services again and I highly recommend ZAAAP to anyone who needs their garage door repaired.
Shawn from the start was honest and transparent. I have gotten quotes from other companies but they gave huge red flags. Some companies claim to be “local” but they are not. They were charging me close $700 for additional service that… More I might need. Shawn will tell you up front if you need certain things replaced or not. I 100% recommend him to anyone that needs garage door services!
Shawn was amazing he replaced our springs because they are original and so outdated. He gives top notch customer service and amazing quality work our garage door is working brand new again. No noise quiet and so smooth when opening so… More happy with zaaap garage doors. Will recommend them to everyone and will use them again. Thank you again.
I would give more than 5 stars if I could. I have needed the services of ZAAAP twice in as many years. Both times they arrived same day, one time was even after normal business hours. They resolved my issues immediately without trying to… More sale me things I did not need. As a single woman that is a very big deal. Their prices are MORE THAN fair! They are honest and kind. I will never call another company for my garage door needs and I would refer them to my family and friends without hesitation. You won't regret calling ZAAAP! Thanks again Shawn. You're the best!
Shawn from ZAAAP is absolutely the best. He's very honest and informative, and reasonable with pricing. I had ZAAAP out some months ago to replace a broken spring, which was done promptly and at a fair price.
Yesterday, I called Shawn… More again regarding an unrelated issue with the bottom track, which he was happy to resolve at no charge, but while he was at it, I paid him to replace the worn bottom seal - conceptually a simple job, but well worth the price of having it done by a pro.
The next day I called him again to look into a sensor alignment issue (again unrelated). He arrived in less than an hour and quickly resolved the problem as a courtesy. The job was simple enough for him, but even a quick truck roll costs something, so it was awesome to have it treated as a follow up of the same job.
A+ for outstanding customer service.
Shawn was great. I called another company who I thought was a local company, turned out to be a dispatch center from LA. They wanted to charge me $1500-4000 for new spring system. Shawn was aware of the scams that these companies do over… More charging. He was here in 30 minutes and much cheaper.
Outstanding Service from ZAAAP Garage Door Repair Inc.
I can't recommend ZAAAP Garage Door Repair Inc. enough! Shawn, the owner, was incredibly kind and professional over the phone when I first described my issue. He promptly arrived… More at my home in a timely manner and expertly repaired my garage door.
This is the second time I've used his services, and both experiences have been nothing short of excellent. Shawn is knowledgeable, reliable, and truly cares about providing top-notch service. If you're in need of garage door repair or maintenance, Shawn is definitely the person to call.
Thank you, ZAAAP Garage Door Repair Inc., for your outstanding service!
Zaaap helped me in a big way. My garage wires broke 2 days before and I had another guy fix it from another company. The wires came loose the next day and I called Zaaap to fix the problem and correct what the other company didn't… More do correctly. Everything was fixed the day I called in 20 minutes with a 3 year warranty. Paul saved my door and saved me money. Call this company and have your garage fixed right the first time.
Oh man, I wish Shawn did more than garage doors. Superb workmanship with no shortcuts to save $$. Shawn explained the process of spring removal and went the extra mile to inspect and adjust the door and reprogram my Genie at no additional… More cost. He’s a real professional, amicable and all around good person.
Shawn is very professional and detailed!! Highly recommended. Contacted him in the morning and showed up with in 3 hours. Everything take good care and clean. Also shared a lot of information, learned a lot from him.
Shawn came in and replaced the springs quickly at a very reasonable price. He also adjusted my garage door opener to work correctly and screwed in some screws to the door hinges that were missing at no charge. He will be my go to when I… More need other repairs.
Shawn is great! I've needed his services twice and he always answers his phone and made it same day both times. He's very knowledgeable and gets the job done perfectly without charging an arm and a leg. Very cool, nice, and easy… More to talk to. Highly recommended!
Shawn is amazing! Super knowledgeable and very reliable. Anytime I have an issue with my garage door, he makes every attempt to be at my house the same day. Day or night, weekends, doesn’t matter, Shawn will be there. Very fair pricing… More as well! No need to look anywhere else, just call him!!
Shawn has come to service our garage door several times over the years from a new spring to a new motor, and even just a regular service call when our door would not open. Every time Shawn arrived he did so timely, he offered great customer… More service, and always does an excellent job. I highly recommend Shawn he gives honest advice and is very affordable. Very professional and knowledgeable and just an all around great guy.
My boyfriend called Zaaap to have our garage door checked because it sounded louder than normal. Shawn showed up on time the day he had scheduled us and inspected our garage door. He was honest with us and found nothing wrong. He informed… More us on proper maintenance and what we may need to fix in the future. On top of that he did not charge us anything and politely declined our tip. Great service and we will remain loyal customers and continue to recommend him to anyone we know.
Thank you to Paul for helping us with our garage repair. Being that it’s a Sunday evening and our garage door wouldn’t close. Everyone was closed. But I want to express my gratitude to Paul for taking our call and showing up in less than… More an hour. He was able to repair the door, and was so kind and professional. I highly recommend him and his business. Wishing you much success and blessings!
Shawn showed up clean and professional. Immediately looked at my broken coils and assured me not to worry. 1 hour later I was completely satisfied with his work, price and he also did about $200 of extra adjustments and replacing of worn… More parts at no extra charge to me. Honestly the best I have encountered yet..
We called Shawn on New Year’s Day, when everyone is close and yet he responded right away without hesitation! He came in less than 10 min and was able to diagnose and fix our garage in less than one hour! Not to add that he was very warm… More and friendly and reasonably priced us for the repair. He was very honest too and gave us warranty for his repair. He is HIGHLY recommended and will be our garage person from then on! Thank you Shawn! ( From your first customer in 2025).
In January our spring broke on our garage door. We called Zaaap on a friends referral. Our garage door springs, bearings & wheels were all replaced. The garage was so quiet & smooth after repair. Today our garage door opener was… More malfunctioning. Called Shawn & he was at our house in less than an hour and kindly made the adjustments needed. The service was quick, friendly and professional! I would definitely recommend to anyone having garage door issues.
Thank you very much Shawn. My garage door after 11 years broke down. I called early morning next day and Shawn was hear in 30 min. (He would be sooner in 20 min if Newport wasn’t so busy😀). He gave me an honest very affordable rate of what… More would need to be done to get garage back in order again. Plus he show you how to keep door from squeaking with some preventive maintenance. I highly recommend company “ZAAAP “(Shawn) as he very honest of assessment and he had some addons of my garage with no additional charge. Thank you again Shawn! Best regard. Rob
Sean was excellent in servicing my garage door spring. Very knowledgeable and thorough. Pointed a possible future issue and remedied it before he felt good leaving. Really a nice guy to work with. Thanks again Sean.
Last Friday night coming home, my garage door wouldn’t open. I thought I’d have to wait till Monday to call someone, I took a chance and called Zaaap Garage Door Repair and Shawn came out within 10 minutes. He diagnosed the problem, gave… More me a reasonable price for a new motor and I am so pleased with his very professional service. Garage door runs beautifully! Definitely a service I recommend!
Sean/Shawn (not sure how he spells his name) with ZAAAP is simply outstanding and the service he provided is excellent. I called him for one concern (son bumped into the door with top of his truck and I was concerned about its operation);… More however, he identified a more serious issue with a couple of broken hinges that needed to be replaced. He explained the work to be done, provided an accurate estimate for the repair, and promptly fixed the garage door. I am a very satisfied customer, and I highly recommend ZAAAP.
If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Shawn with ZAAAP was an outstanding technician who provided excellent service! He arrived within 20 minutes of me calling, and finished the job in an hour. He showed us exactly what was wrong… More and what he was fixing. I highly recommend ZAAAP.
Shawn was extremely helpful. Once I called Shawn and told him the issue, he knew right away what the problem was. I even verified myself. Shawn came out and installed a brand new motor kit at a very reasonable price. In about an hour, I… More had a new installed motor. He is very professional and does a phenomenal job. I will be using ZAAAP for future repairs and recommending to family and friends. Thank you Shawn.
Shawn with Zaaap garage door repair is nothing short of amazing! I called him at 8am and he was at my door at 8:05, on a Saturday! He was quick to point out the problem and fix it on the spot! I’ve never encountered such fantastic customer… More service. I HIGHLY recommend Zaaap garage door repair!!!
Zaaap Garage Door service is the best garage door service I’ve used here in Canyon Lake since we moved here in 2005. Stellar performance!!
I can’t say enough about this professional, kind, and hard-working man (Shawn) who takes pride in… More his work and in the craftsmanship he puts into framing up the right bracket hardware to hang his garage door openers the right way.
The maintenance on my other older door opener truly made it seem like it was brand new again. It’s like I got two new garage door openers for the price of one.
Excellent customer service - excellent work, clean and efficient, and it works great! Thanks Shawn for the great job!!! TEN (10) ⭐️
My garage door has never worked better! I have had three garage door repair companies come to fix it in the past few years, and it works better now than ever! Thank you, Shawn, for fixing my garage door so nicely! I will tell everyone what… More a great job you did and refer anyone who needs their garage door fixed. This is the best garage door service ever!
Shawn is excellent! He is very quick to respond to calls and was a whiz and getting our garage door fixed. Highly recommend Shawn for any garage door repairs.
Professional, understanding, and compassionate. My garage door springs broke while closed and my car was parked inside. I called at 5pm and he was at my home within 30 minutes. He diagnosed the problem and gave me my options and quotes.… More He manually opened the garage and safely propped it open. I was able to move my car out. He also put air in my non operational classic car tires. Helped me clear out part of my garage and then helped me push it out of the way for more space and then fixed the garage door. After everything he helped me push the car back to its original location. The process was quick and made my day after so much worry. Thank you!
Our 21-year old garage door came off the track in two places and our cars were trapped inside! We contacted Sean on a Sunday morning and he came out asap! He explained what the issue was and fixed it within an hour give or take. He also… More made a suggestion to secure the springs which we gave him the thumbs up on and so glad we did. Our noisy garage door is so quiet now! I barely can hear it when it closes. We thought we were going to have to replace our entire door but Sean was honest, knew his stuff and saved us a lot of money. He’s our garage door guy for life!
My Garage Door springs broke the Sunday before Labor Day. My system was the cheaper system with the springs inside the rod as originally installed by the homebuilder. Anyway, called Zaaap at around 3pm and spoke to Paul. He was here around… More 430 and had my door all fixed in about an hour by swapping out the components to the more traditional torsion system with the larger exposed springs. Great service, especially on a holiday weekend.
If I have another garage door issue, or when it's time to replace the garage door opener, I will definitely give Zaaap a call.
Outstanding service! He came even though he was closed! Quick, clean repair! Best priced by a long shot! He was knowledgeable and patient to explain things to us! Can’t recommend to enough people!! Same day service!!
As a business owner myself I can tell when someone is truly passionate and driven to do good work and provide an excellent service, Zap garage door repair was probably the single best experience I have had when it comes to customer service… More and quality of work. They came at 9:30 at night to handle my garage door that had nearly fallen off the rails and they had it all finished and fixed by 11:30pm. Didn’t catch the owners name however that’s who was working on the door and he was extremely dedicated to his work, personable, and professional. Thank you man!
Update: Unit got locked out from changing internet providers, Paul showed up and quickly repaired the issue. Thank you so much for your help, Paul! Amazing team here locally, look no further for service!
Very friendly and professional.… More Fixed a botched job that was done by a home warranty vendor. Replaced mismatched springs, now opens a lot easier and quieter! Best service in the lake, thank you.
Shawn is a great guy, was able to schedule and get immediate service. Very professional and provided a free quote, once he arrived he knew exactly the issue was with my garage door and was it even able to fix my other smaller garage door… More too at no additional charge. I got both my garage doors fixed for the price of one, amazing!
Great attitude. Strong work ethic. I highly recommend him. 👍
So yesterday my wife and I heard a loud sound and later on when I had to go to work I noticed the garage door will not open. It would only open about an inch and stop.
So I googled and found a few local places but I went with ZAAAP because… More he had 5 stars and hundreds of positive personalized reviews. I called Shawn at around 2 p.m. and he said he could be over within 20 minutes which was very impressive and he could figure out what the problem was.
Our house is newly built so they use cheaper supplies to cut cost. The garage door opener is a Genie for example. The spring system is a long tube that sits above the garage door with a long skinny spring. Shawn advised me to replace it with a torsion system because it's better and would last longer. Also he can install the torsion system today and only took about 45 minutes.
When he pulled everything apart he showed me the broken spring and it was exactly what he explained to me was wrong in the begining. Personally I'm happy because he came within an hour of me calling and he was very kind, professional and very quick.
Amazing service. Quick and knowledgeable. I've had them come out twice now. Shawn and Paul were so great. Left my door better than before I broke it! Highly recommend.
Excellent, expeditious and affordable service. Shawn was very friendly and professional. Performed courtesy work in excess of contracted job without any extra charge. He was very informative and suggested tips to keep function and longevity… More of garage door equipment operable. Made courtesy safety adjustments to the door opener so it would reverse in the event it made contact with an object when closing. He is clearly a true professional who has years of knowledge and experience that allow him to make a stressful situation quick and painless. Besides his clear understanding… More of how to do the job right the FIRST time, he is also able to communicate effectively to allow the customer to make a smart informed decision. Twice now, Shawn has worked on my garage, and both times, he was a pleasure to work with. His prices are the best around, and after multiple great experiences, I strongly recommend ZAAAP Garage Door Repair to anyone nearby! The local community is lucky and better for having a business like this in town!
Shawn was amazing! We had an emergency with our garage. Shawn repaired it so fast and was very thorough. Definitely calling him back if we need any thing else. He does awesome work!! Thank you so much!!!
Was impressed to watch his expertise, checking twice to make sure everything measured up, even going above, by replacing a part, tightening, continuously making adjustments to ensure the job was done right.
These days it is a rare out… More to find a person who is masterful as he is at his craft.
Highly recommend Shawn, extremely satisfied with the work performed, found the prices to be quite reasonable compared to other companies, an added bonus.
Overall great experience.

Great service! Shawn is awesome, quick, reliable, and trustworthy! He did not try to oversell me anything explained in detail exactly what to expect and what to look out for. All around great experience and will use him for garage needs… More at my houses.
I recently had the pleasure of having Shawn install my new garage door opener, and I cannot recommend his services enough.
From the initial call, Shawn was incredibly helpful, not charging the standard diagnostic fee to accurately identify… More the issues with my old opener.
He not only fixed the problem but also took the time to educate me on the reasons behind the failure and shared valuable tips to avoid similar issues in the future. Beyond the installation of the new opener, Shawn went the extra mile to repair my garage door - a gesture not required but greatly appreciated and a testament to his exceptional character and dedication to customer satisfaction.
I am already planning to purchase a new garage door in the near future, and without a doubt, Shawn will be my first call. For anyone in need of garage door opener services or garage door repairs, do not hesitate to reach out to Shawn. His expertise, professionalism, and kindness truly stand out in the industry.

It was great working with Shawn. He was honest, friendly and even had time to train his partner during the cold, raining weather. Thank you again Shawn for the prompt honest service. I will definitely contact you again if anything goes… More wrong with my garage.
Woke up to a broken garage door! Called 5 different companies and the only company that responded immediately was Zaaap. The owner was truly impressive. He was out to fix my garage door within a few hours. He did an amazing job fixing my… More garage door and communicated the problem at hand. Hands down best company with the best price for the repair. I will definitely recommend him to all my friends and family! Thanks again Zaaap!
ZAAAP Garage Door Repair ended my ongoing garage door repair nightmare. He correctly diagnosed what the real problem was, and didn't charge me for unnecessary repairs (things i didn't need that didn't fix what was broken)… More like two of his local, big advertising spending competitors did. His knowledge, expertise and honesty will compel me to use his services again if ever the need arises. Best advice: go with someone who has a proven track record of being HONEST, not someone who is a few miles closer that prioritize$ their bottom line, over being helpful and solving the actual problem. Thank you Shawn!
Shawn was great! He was here within 1 hour from my call & had the issue fixed quickly! He was kind, he went above & beyond taking the time to explain the issue & the type of system we have. It’s nice to have found an honest… More & trustworthy company! I will definitely be calling him for all future repairs!
Shawn from ZAAAP Garage Door Repair was very quick to respond to my call. When he was done inspecting my garage doors he was upfront and honest about what work really needed to be done. I was of the mindset my doors are old an time to… More replace them. He said they are still good, but one needed a crack repaired. The motor was old and not going to last long, Shawn walked me through all my options that included keeping current motor until it died. Shawn was patient and knowledgeable in describing all my options. He was able to do the repairs and replace our motor that same day.
Shawn was amazing. Quick, detail oriented, and price was fair. Having your garage door break is never fun, but Shawn made the process easy. I will happily call him for any garge needs in the future without hesitation!
Great business, called him and he was able to get me in after he finished a service call, same day. Great pricing cheapest I found and I called around. Don’t let these other companies get you with the low prices only to add on hidden cost,… More Shawn was upfront about his price and didn’t charge a penny more. Definitely will be using him for any repairs or maintenance I need.
Went through 3 other door repair companies. Found Zaaap just driving down the street and as it turns out... The best door guy on the planet. I would recommend him to anyone. He took care of everything I asked in the shortest time possible… More and did the cleanest work. I will use him every time from now on. Great job Shawn, thank you so much.

My garage door stopped going down all the way. The door and motor are old, so I figured a big repair bill. It was the day before the holiday, and I figured I was out of luck til after the holiday. I called Shawn based on all the great… More feedback I read on Facebook. He answered his phone promptly and came straight over, even though it was late in the afternoon. He had the problem diagnosed within minutes. He promptly fixed it even though he had visitors arriving at his house soon. He wouldn’t take any money from me, because it was a quick fix. He also told me to call him anytime on the holiday weekend if I had issues. I have an older garage door and opener. And, I will be sure to call him soon for replacement. I am an elderly female, and he treated me fairly and didn’t try to gouge me like a lot of companies would. 5+++++
By far the best service I have ever received from a local business!!! My garage sting snapped! Luckily my garage was closed, because I could not lift it. I called around and was told it could take 48 hours to get someone out to me! This… More happened with a couple of the places I called. I ended up calling this company and was told a tech was in my neighborhood and would stop by. He showed up, inspected and told me he would fix it right now! I knew I used my garage a lot so I asked if he had springs that were stronger. He did indeed, and upgraded my single spring system to a dual spring. It took about an hour to get everything fixed. Thanks for the great service!!!!
I had Michael out to do my house. Great price I have not had a problem since just referred him to my buddy to a girl care of his garage with a great price can't beat it. Great guy great work.
There's a reason it's all 5 star reviews. My garage motor broke and I contacted a couple of contractors on a Friday. Figured it would be the following week before I heard back. Showed up in 30 minutes and changed it all out in a couple hours. Super professional job. Do your self a favor and just call him, you won't be disappointed.

I am always leery about using new service companies I find on the internet because it seems that they are always about the service call fees and the up sale. Not Sean, he went through all the unique issues I was having with my 30 year old… More wood garage doors . These doors have been worked on by many different companies over the years and much of it done wrong. He pointed out what was done wrong and what needed correcting. I mentioned to him that I used to be a residential general contractor and could I do the work myself. He said absolutely and even gave me a few items I was missing. I started with his first suggestion of redoing the connection point of the opener to the door. Once I did that it worked like a charm. I would 100% recommend his company to anyone looking for an honest, fair garage door company.
Thanks again Sean

I first used Shawn, owner of Zaaap Garage Door Repair company, a few months ago. Shawn does all the work himself. You won’t get some hired hand. He installed a wired button to open/close a garage door. He came same day I called. He… More didn’t have a new button with him, but was able to install an old used one he had on his truck. He called me a few weeks later and brought over a new one and installed it quickly. I thought he initially undercharged me for the amount of work he did so I actually gave him an extra $50.Fast forward to yesterday, while opening my garage door, it made an unusual sound. I called Shawn at 4:30pm. He said it sounded like a broken spring. I checked the spring and sure enough, it had broken right in half. He said he had two jobs still to go to but said he would do his best to come that same day. He called an hour later and said he would come today but it might be late. He called again 30 minutes later and said he was on his way to my house. He arrived soon thereafter and he had my new door springs installed within an hour! From my initial call to him completing the job done… 3 hours! On top of that, the cost of the job was reasonable. He installed a double set of heavy duty springs for $275 including the cost of the springs and labor. I won’t hesitate to call or recommend Shawn again if the need arises.

I called 2 other garage repair companies before calling Shawn. I explained that the bracket attached to the garage arm had broken off the garage door. The first company I called did not understand the problem even after I did my best to… More explain and then had the nerve to suggest that my garage door is probably too old to be repaired and they can give me an estimate on a new door. The second company was actually a call center pretending to be a "local garage repair company". After two frustrating attempts to find someone to come fix the problem, I took a shot in the dark and tried ZAAAP garage repair. Shawn answered and immediately understood the problem. He gave me a quote over the phone and was at my house in North Azusa in less than 2 hours! He fixed my garage door at the price we had agreed upon which was very reasonable, he was professional, kind, and came across as a genuinely honest person. Wow, this really can’t be true. A truly honest company that puts the customer’s needs in front of their profit margin.Had a malfunctioning garage door that wouldn’t open and called Shawn first thing in the morning. He showed up two… More hours later as promised and proceeded to assess the issue. Couple of minutes later Shawn walked me through the issues which included the sensor lights, incorrect strap pressure that was being applied in the wrong area. The pressure was causing the door to slowly crush the center panel. In short the previous person who had installed the door had done so incorrectly.Shawn repaired the sensor and the garage door worked again. He advised that the unit didn’t need to be replaced at this time and to continue to use it until it did.Needless to say Shawn will be the person I call when that time comes.. To anyone that reads this review, if you want a knowledgeable professional and honest person/company then please contact Shawn at Zaaap

Sahar (Shawn) was personable and not pushy. He communicated well and took time to show me all the available options in style and make. He listened and when I chose the less expensive non insulated version he was supportive. When I had concerns… More about lighting, he suggested solutions. There were some preparations needed in my case before the door was installed. He had to level the floor a bit on one side so the door would sit evenly on the pavement. He described the situation and told me exactly what he felt was necessary and why he thought it was best. His crew was friendly and the job was completed on the same day as the preliminary leveling as scheduled. The door looks better than the rest of the house. I’m fully satisfied. The best part is he’s licensed and professional.

I gave him a call to schedule an appointment and he offered to come right away- it turns out we live in the same city! He assessed my dire situation, proposed several solutions and immediately hopped on the phone to place an order to pick up new door for me the next day. In a Covid world everything is taking so much longer, but he was able to make it happen. We had a new door and opener installed within 24 hours of the original damage. Wow! Shawn is knowledgeable and helpful and reasonably priced repairman. We will definitely use him once we get to the step of replacing that opener.
